BSG(Basigin,也称为CD147或EMMPRIN)是一种广泛表达的跨膜糖蛋白,属于免疫球蛋白超家族(IgSF)成员。其生物学功能多样,主要参与细胞间相互作用、炎症反应、组织重塑及肿瘤进展等过程。BSG通过与其他膜蛋白(如单羧酸转运蛋白MCT1/4、整合素)结合,调控能量代谢(如乳酸转运)和细胞迁移。在免疫系统中,BSG可激活基质金属蛋白酶(MMPs)的分泌,促进细胞外基质降解,影响组织修复和肿瘤转移。其作用位点包括细胞膜(介导信号传导)和细胞外微环境(调节MMPs活性)。突变或异常表达的BSG可能导致功能紊乱:例如,BSG缺失会阻碍MCT1/4的膜定位,影响癌细胞的有氧糖酵解(Warburg效应);而过度表达则与多种癌症(如肝癌、乳腺癌)的侵袭性增强相关,因其促进血管生成和转移。此外,BSG在病毒感染(如SARS-CoV-2入侵宿主细胞时作为辅助受体)和自身免疫疾病(如类风湿关节炎)中也有重要作用。BSG属于一个基因家族,其成员通常含有免疫球蛋白样结构域,参与细胞黏附和信号转导。过表达BSG可能上调MMPs并破坏组织稳态,而低表达可能削弱免疫应答或代谢适应能力。目前针对BSG的抗体疗法(如靶向CD147的癌症治疗)正在研究中。

The protein encoded by this gene is a plasma membrane protein that is important in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation, and tumor progression. The encoded protein is also a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
